Dietary Tech
POSITION TITLE: Dietary Tech
JOB SUMMARY: Will assist on the tray line and perform various duties in the kitchen to include working in the dish room and cleaning.
SUPERVISOR: Reports to the Food Service Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND DEMANDS OF THE POSITION:
1. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
2. Must be able to work and cooperate with various personnel.
3. Must be able to pay attention to detail due to the required accuracy of setting up patient trays based on special diets.
4. Must recognize the importance of maintaining a high level of sanitation in the department and follow the sanitation practices.
5. Must be able to understand the principles of modified diets, as related to condiments allowed.
6. This job will require continuous movement to include walking, bending, stooping and lifting.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
1. Will assist on the tray line by placing napkins, silverware, tray card and appropriate condiments on trays.
2. Will make and pour coffee for the patients.
3. Will wash dishes which includes scraping, stacking and putting away clean
dishes.
4. Will rotate stock when used.
5. Will remove trash and boxes from the department.
6. Will sweep, mop and scrub floors.
7. Will complete weekly cleaning list.
8. Will attend in- service education as required.
9. Will perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
