CHARGE NURSE - NIGHT SHIFT - Hospital
Job description
Duties:
- Oversee and manage a team of nurses, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure quality care
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in the state of employment
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and acute pain management
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and make critical decisions under pressure
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and health coaching techniques
